A country-friendly bar and grill where the steak fingers and chicken tenders get named by name, cold beer is always on, and travelers on Highway 2 keep pulling over for it. “Five star service and five star food at a great price.”
The newest name on Broadway, and already winning people over. Think a spicy BBQ jalapeno burger, crispy onion rings and tots, a chicken fried steak with gravy, and hand-spun ice cream shakes that regulars say are worth the wait. “The best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had.”
The morning ritual and the highest-rated stop in town. Espresso, lattes, and fruity Lotus energy drinks from a cheerful crew that opens before dawn for the farming crowd. A favorite of road-trippers coming over the Plains. “Best coffee I’ve ever had on a road trip.”
The heart of a small town in one old building: the local grocery and general store, open early and late, stocked with a little more than the usual corner stop, plus coffee, cold treats, and the essentials you forgot to grab in the city. “A small-town store with a big heart.”

On a Friday night the parking fills up, the kitchen stays on until nine, and the room hums with the same neighbors you saw at the game. If you are just passing through on Highway 2, this is the one to pull over for. If you live here, you already knew that.

Davenport · 15 min westA bright, from-scratch lunch spot in Davenport with fresh sandwiches, burgers, and sweet potato fries people plan a detour around. Warm service and a menu a notch above what a town this size usually offers. “Best Reuben I’ve had in a long time.”
Davenport’s go-to for fajitas, enchiladas, and a cold Negra Modelo, open seven days a week with big portions and a long local following. The dependable sit-down dinner when you want something beyond burgers.
Hand-built pizzas with a crust people rave about, big bone-in wings, plus espresso, ice cream, and cold beer under one roof. The spot the ball teams pile into after a game, and it takes call-ahead orders.
Further north toward Lake Roosevelt, this remodeled roadhouse has become a destination in its own right: standout burgers, house-made ranch, darts and cold beer, and an outdoor patio. Pair it with a day on the water. “One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, and I’m a serious foodie.”
A Big Night Out
Airway Heights & Spokane · east on Hwy 2When the occasion calls for white tablecloths or late-night options, head east on Highway 2. The resort casinos in Airway Heights bring steakhouses, sports bars, and buffets about fifteen minutes from Reardan, and Spokane, roughly twenty-five miles out, opens up the full range, from award-winning pizza to fine dining.
